Mac Certification Classes

Mac OS 101 Support for 10.4

This last week I sat in on our Mac OS Support Essentials class. Jeremy did a wonderful job of teaching this full 3-day class. I will be taking the certificate test when Mac OS X Leopard is out. I will then be going to California to take the Train the Trainer certificate class so I can start helping Jeremy teach this class.

I learned a lot about how to fix my Mac computers. My favorite thing is to go into Terminal and type in “top” so I can see with process is hogging and taking up time on my computer.

Using the top command in Terminal

Apple classes

I really enjoyed taking this class, but the expensive books should be updated to the current information. There are a lot of mistakes in the syllabus. I also believe that more reflection should be done after we fill out the review questions all by ourselves. I am pushing this, and I hope we instructors can find the time to do this.

Final Cut Pro Certification

I will be starting a Final Cut Pro certification class on Monday. It is a 5 day class, and I will get very tired for this boot camp class. I then have to study to take the certification class so I can go to the Apple campus to get my train the trainer certification class. Then I will be able to run the Final Cut Pro certification class at work.
