Clean Up That View Only Google Doc

Google Doc Tip

I recently discovered a solution to one of my pet peeves. When I originally shared out a Google doc such as a newsletter with the permission set to "Anyone with the link can view" or "Public on the Web" it would leave the ugly editing ribbon at the top of the document even if the viewer did not have editing rights to the document. Publishing the document to the web was one solution, but more times than not this would cause formatting issues. Well it just so happens once you share out a document you can simply delete the word edit at the end of the URL and replace it with the word preview. This will get rid of the editing toolbar and give your Google doc a clean look and feel.
