Embedding Audio in a Google Site

Embedding sound files on a Google Site has always caused me to want to pull my hair out and scream at the top of my lungs. There are numerous embed codes and widgets you can install, but most of these methods seemed unusually complex and required a vast amount of tweaks in order to get them to work correctly if at all. Turns out there is a fairly straight forward website you can use to embed audio on a Google Site. Soundcloud.com gives you 2 free hours of audio storage. This site also gives you 2 recording options; you can record a segment in real time or upload previously recorded audio from your computer directly to the site. Once the file is loaded on the site you have the ability to "share" your file with the world via an iframe embed code which seems to play very well with Google Sites. I decided to test this out by uploading one of my podcasts from a couple years ago to Sound Cloud. Within a matter of minutes I was able to signup for an account, upload, and share the podcast via the iframe embed code as witnessed in the above segment. You can listen to my podcast about Wordle by clicking on the orange play button.
