I just wanted to give you a heads up about the Un-Conference that I will be attending on January 27th @ Glen Allen HS during our Staff Development day. If you are interested in attending the conference just let me know. The conference will cover various tech integration ideas and you will get the chance to network with other people in our district and the surrounding counties. What the exactly is an UnConference?
In the spirit of such events as Edcamp C’ville, Barcamp, and Foo Camp, HCPS is striving to make a most unorganized, unscripted ed tech unconference where conversations aren't limited by agendas and recycled powerpoints. No presentations, keynote speakers, or prefabricated professional development. Topics will be suggested by attendees, and gathering areas will be set aside for conversations that may not have made the original list, but need additional talk time. Bring your computer, examples, ideas, and an open mind to this participant-driven networking and ed tech learning experience.
